SOUTH ITHAQUE
VATHY - SHINOS BAY - GIDAKI BEACH - FILIATRO BEACH

During this walk, we explore two of the most famous beaches of Ithaca: Gidaki and Filiatro. We visit the Lazareto islet in the middle of Vathy port, we paddle around the island of Skartsoumponisi at the exit of the port, then by the traditional chapel of Saint Andrews and we stop in Shinos bay for our first swim and dive. Then we explore the fossilized sedimentary coastline before Gidaki beach and swim and snorkel in the clear blue waters of Gidaki Bay.
Finally, we arrive at Filitro Bay where we can relax before returning to the town of Vathy. If the group is made up of good and happy paddlers, then we will paddle further to Sarakiniko beach and along the vertical rocky coast of Cape Skotaria. There are more than 10 beaches on our way and for snorkeling or just for a break, we always try to choose the most isolated one. The Beach Bar is waiting for you at the end of the route.

NORTH ITHAQUE
AFALES BAY - PLATINAMOS BEACH - MARMAKAS BAY - FRIKES

An excellent trip to explore the northern peninsula of the island: An isolated wilderness area accessible only by boat. Don't miss this opportunity to paddle in the crystal clear turquoise waters of the Bay of Afales. Maneuver through the rocky outcrops of Platinamos beach and stop for a swim and snorkel on the island's most beautiful beach. Then visit the northern cape of Ithaca and the unique Papanikolis Cave and relax in Marmakas Bay.
The ultimate sea experience for intermediate paddlers as the northern peninsula is more exposed to waves and in certain conditions you will play with kayaks. At the end of the trip, the village of Frikes awaits you for a cold beer or refreshment. Back to the starting point

FROM NORTH TO SOUTH OF ITHAQUE
FRIKES - VATHY

We leave the bay of Frikes, on the way we visit the traditional village of Kioni, one of the most elegant villages of the Ionian Sea and we take the opportunity to taste a real Greek coffee. Then south to Vathy, we explore the coastline of the highest mountain on the island of Ithaca, Mount Nirito.
We stop for a break in the crystal clear blue waters of Nisaki beach to discover the secrets of the Ionian Sea during a snorkeling session.
Resuming our crossing from the north to the south of the island, we stop on a small beach in front of the entrance of the port of Vathy and for the last part, we pass around the islands of Lazareto and Skartzoumponisi, then we end our trip at our nautical base.
