During this guided tour, you will have the chance to visit not only the city center of Athens, the Acropolis, Omonia Square but also Cape Sounion.

Our first stop will be the Panathenaic Stadium (Roman stadium) where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. Then we will pass by the Greek Parliament guarded by the Evzones and the Zappeion. We will continue our tour passing by the Roman temple of Olympian Zeus, the national garden, Hadrian's arch, the tomb of the unknown soldier in front of the Greek Parliament, the University of Athens, the national library, the square of the Constitution and finally the Acropolis. There we will visit the Propylaea, the temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon and the Erechtheion.
We will continue our tour with a pleasant short walk to the Herodion Theater and the Dionysus Theater until we reach the New Acropolis Museum.
After this morning full of exploration, we will have lunch at a local restaurant on the slopes of the Acropolis. After lunch, we will go for a wonderful walk along the picturesque coast of Athens, enjoying the breathtaking views of the Saronic Gulf. After passing through some of the most beautiful suburbs of the Athenian Riviera (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza), we will reach Cape Sounion.

Cape Sounion, which is only 70 kilometers from Athens, is the ideal destination for the afternoon! There we will visit the Temple of Poseidon perched on a rocky hill overlooking the sea.
The view of the Aegean Sea from the temple is magnificent even encompassing Kea and the Peloponnese when the horizon is clear. The Temple of Poseidon was built in 44 BC. BC and many of its original Doric columns still stand. One of the columns has graffiti left by Lord Byron in the early 1800s.
